Western Digital is one of the main storage devices manufacturers in the world. This program allows you to perform different tests and obtain information about your Western Digital drives from your Windows desktop.
When you run the program, its main window will show the WD drive(s) installed on your system indicating their main characteristics, such as model number, serial number, capacity, and free space. Also, if you have performed any of the program's tests, it will show if the drive passed or not.
To obtain more information about your device, you can highlight the drive on the program's interface and right-click on it. A menu will appear, from which you can select the Properties option. It will show the driver's type, firmware revision, and other data. The SMART drive info option will show you a complete set of data about your drive, such as HDA temperature, drive power cycle court, spin up time, and so on.
The program also allows you to perform two types of tests for your drive. As their names imply, the Quick test will take a little time to complete, while the Extended one is more detailed and will take much more time. In both cases, the time required will depend on the disk's capacity and on your processor's power. Once the test is finished, you can view its results by selecting the corresponding option. If your drive passed the test, a green approval sign will appear on the SMART status column. In sum, this is a useful program for Western Digital drives users.
